About the trail

The Two Bays Walking Track is one of the Mornington Peninsula’s most iconic long-distance walks, stretching approximately 26km from Dromana to Cape Schanck Lighthouse. The trail winds through a diverse mix of coastal heathland, dense native bushland, open grasslands and scenic ridgelines, passing through Arthurs Seat State Park and Mornington Peninsula National Park. Along the way, walkers are treated to sweeping views across Port Phillip Bay, peaceful forest trails and rugged coastal scenery as they approach Cape Schanck. The track is generally well-marked and maintained, with a combination of compact dirt paths, gravel tracks, boardwalks and some steep, uneven sections. With its varied terrain, changing landscapes and considerable distance, the Two Bays Walking Track is a rewarding challenge best suited to walkers with a reasonable level of fitness.
