About the trail

The Bittern Reservoir Circuit Trail is a peaceful bushwalk winding through native bushland and open woodlands surrounding Bittern Reservoir. Similar to the Devilbend Reservoir Circuit, the trail follows a mixture of dirt tracks and natural pathways, offering a quiet escape with opportunities to spot native wildlife and birdlife. While much of the trail is relatively flat and easy to navigate, sections around the back of the reservoir can become extremely muddy during winter and after heavy rainfall. These areas can be difficult to navigate even with sturdy hiking boots, so extra care is recommended during wetter months.
