Boneo
Boneo is working farmland with the bush right on its doorstep — market gardens and farm gates on one side of the road, the largest stretch of native bushland left on the Peninsula on the other.
Spend a morning at Hawkes Farm and an afternoon walking Greens Bush — and if it's the third Saturday of the month, start at the community market.

Hawkes Farm
A sixth-generation family farm that started with a few bags of potatoes and an honesty box, and now grows kipflers served in restaurants across Australia. The farm gate is open every day, stocked with produce from right across the Peninsula, and the weekend kitchen is famous for hot chips made from the farm's own potatoes.
Keep an eye out for the free open days at Easter, Melbourne Cup and Australia Day, with strawberry picking, tractor rides and a jumping castle — and there's a picnic patch with a sandpit out the back for the little ones.

What's On
A monthly community market, farm open days and school-holiday programs keep Boneo busier than you'd expect. The Boneo Community Market runs on the third Saturday of every month, and Hawkes Farm opens its gates at Easter, Melbourne Cup and Australia Day.

Things to Do
The Ranch opens its 200 acres of horse rides, mountainboarding and a 272m flying fox to the public on weekends and school holidays, and Centenary Park Golf Course sits on the Peninsula Golf Trail. Boneo Discovery Park, nearby in Fingal, is in here too.

Walks & Trails
On Foot In Greens Bush
Greens Bush is the largest remnant of native bushland on the Peninsula, home to eastern grey kangaroos and black wallabies. Take a 5km loop, the Two Bays Walking Trail through the heart of the bush, or the 2.5km walk down to Bushrangers Bay — and leave the dog at home, they're not allowed.
