About
Mt Eliza
Mount Eliza is a leafy village at the northern gateway to the Peninsula, with a friendly strip of shops and cafes, red clifftops and quiet bay beaches, and bushland walks around a century-old quarry.
It's an easy place to spend a day: browse the village, walk the coast, and finish with a pub meal.
Featured Spot
Moorooduc Quarry
A former quarry opened in 1887, now a flora and fauna reserve with a deep lake and a 1.7km circuit that climbs more than 200 steps to views over the surrounding countryside. Next door, Mount Eliza Regional Park has boardwalks, lakes, a playground and picnic areas, and the Mornington Railway's Moorooduc station is close by.

Small beaches are tucked below red clifftops, from family-friendly Canadian Bay and the bathing boxes of Ranelagh Beach to Daveys Bay and its jetty, all linked by a walking track along the bluffs.
Eat & Drink
The village around Mount Eliza Way and Canadian Bay Road has cafes, restaurants and a gourmet grocer, with the Canadian Bay Hotel for a classic pub meal and live music on Saturday nights.
