About
Tuerong
Tuerong has no main street and no real centre — just vineyard rows, grazing paddocks and the odd gate, strung along the roads that cut through the middle of the Peninsula. Most people pass through on their way to the wineries, and that's more or less the point.
Its real drawcard sits just off Graydens Road: Devilbend Natural Features Reserve, the largest inland body of water on the Peninsula, ringed by walking and riding trails through bush and open woodland.

Devilbend Natural Features Reserve
422 hectares of bush wrapped around a 250-hectare reservoir — the largest inland body of water on the Peninsula — plus the smaller Bittern Reservoir alongside it. Walk the easy 1.2km Western Shoreline Track down to the fishing platforms, the 1.5km Daangean Point Track through lowland forest, or take on the full 11.5km Devilbend Circuit around the water, with a 2.5km extension looping in Bittern Reservoir too. Cycling's allowed on every trail, and you can fish or paddle the reservoir — just leave the dog and the swimmers at home, neither is permitted here.
Wineries & Breweries
A small, serious handful rather than a strip: Yabby Lake Vineyard leads with its single-vineyard pinot and chardonnay (and a restaurant worth the trip alone), Dromana Estate's cellar door and cafe sits just up the road, and Tuerong Farm pours its own small-batch wine alongside the grain it mills. For beer, Hickinbotham's HIX Brewery in nearby Dromana is close enough to count.
Stay in Tuerong
Tuerong Farm offers a handful of boutique stays on-site, set among its vines and grain fields. Beyond that it's slim pickings — for more choice, Red Hill and Moorooduc aren't far up the road.
